For the past nine years, Brody Carlson has worked with a variety of clients to create easy to use surveillance and IT systems.  Currently, casino video surveillance makes up some 60 percent of ConnectionsIT’s business with the remaining coming from managed IT services. The company has 30 employees and offices in California, Nevada and Oklahoma. ConnectionsIT expects to open new offices near the Great Lakes and in Southern California later this year.

ConnectionsIT partners with the leading security and IT product and service, and has a professional staff that provides 24/7 support to all of its clients and installs.  Client service and satisfaction is the number one goal of ConnectionsIT.

Our Team

Brody Carlson, Founder and President of ConnectionsIT, has 10 years of front-line system integration experience in trouble-shooting and repairing existing casino video surveillance systems. Brody has a degree in criminal justice and served in the Marine Corps for 10 years as a tactical officer in an air defense unit. Brody also volunteers as a Reserve Police Officer. He is certified as a MSCE, CSE, CCA and CCSP.

Victoria Carlson serves as Vice President of Operations/HR/Sales.  Victoria has worked with Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce Ambassador program to help rebuild their membership program. Victoria has also worked with fundraising for several sport programs in Santa Rosa city schools. Victoria has been with Connections IT since 2000. Victoria also has Certification in Cisco CSE, HTML 3.2,4, Java Script, and Desktop support.

Paul Lindsey is responsible for managing ConnectionsIT’s expanded Great Lakes Region consisting of Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, and Louisiana. He has been in the security systems integration industry for 20 years with his expertise in Intrusion, Fire, Access Control and CCTV systems. Paul has worked for some of the nation’s largest system integration companies providing services on a national level with numerous large scale design/build projects to his credit. Paul makes in home in Peoria, Illinois with his wife and 3 kids. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations/Communications from Salisbury State University in Maryland.

David Huggard serves as the Oklahoma Regional Manager.  He has 30 plus years working on a variety of fire, access control and video monitoring systems for commercial applications. His past experience includes sales and division manager for the Muscogee Nation Business Enterprise, system sales representative for ADT Security Services, and other industry related assignments.  David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Stephen Payne is responsible for the expanded Western Region for ConnectionsIT. While focusing primarily on increasing markets in California, Steve will also be reaching out to the western and central states.  He brings with him 15 plus years of professional experience in law enforcement and security with experience as an end user, manufacturer, manufacturer’s representative, integrator, and professional trainer.  Steve has been both Microsoft and Cisco certified, and is also a Pelco Endura certified IP video specialist.  Steve also writes about the  converging IT and security markets in a monthly column for Security Sales and Integration Magazine.

Ron Bowser is the Nevada Regional Manager for ConnectionsIT. He has over twenty years experience in providing, installing and maintaining electrical distribution systems and control systems including; Fire Life Safety, HVAC, Intrusion, Access Control and CCTV Systems. Ron has an Honorable Discharge from the USAF and served as an Avionics Technician and Technical Instructor for Advanced Airborne Electronic Systems. He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

Zoe Tassencourt is the Senior Technical Manager for Connections IT. Zoe has been in the IT business for 20 years and has worked for ConnectionsIT for the past 8 years.  Prior to her present assignment, Zoe developed and taught the CNE and MCSE training programs for a local vocational school and official Microsoft Training Center, in addition to managing the school’s 80-node network.  Zoe holds a BA from Virginia Commonwealth University as well as current CNE and MCSE certifications.

Jason Banks has worked on hundreds of commercial projects and brings more than a decade of security industry experience to the company. He has worked for industry giant ADT as well as the regional MNBE and Alliance Systems Group.  He has worked on projects  for Bank of America, the DEA, Home Depot, Department of Energy, Transportation Security Administration and the US Marshals facilities to name a few. He has a proven track record for large and small scale project management.

David Dickey has over 21 years of professional experience in the security industry handling low-voltage equipment installs and service.  Past experience includes installation and service tech/manager for Guard Tronic, installation supervisor for Guardian Security and working commercial projects at ADT Security Services.  Most recently, David worked for the Muscogee Nation Business Enterprise handling government and casino projects.

Randy Dodson handles the purchasing at ConnectionsIT. Randy has over 15 years experience in the procurement industry. He has a Specialized Associate Degree in Information Technology with a Microsoft Concentration.  Randy’s CompTIA certifications include A+, Network + and Security+.

Beth Gonzalez serves as ConnectionsIT’s bookkeeper.  Beth brings 15 years of experience to our team.  She has worked in both the private and public sector in multiple states.  She is primarily responsible for the preparation of our monthly financial reporting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly bank reconciliations, payroll, and compliance.

Catrina Higuera serves as an administrative assistant in the Santa Rosa, California home office.  Catrina worked in the mortgage industry for 7 years as a customer service representative before joining ConnectionsIT.  She is the assistant to the accounting and marketing departments.

Dennis McCabe has over 30 years in IT as both a programmer and as a network engineer.  He spent the first 20 years of his career as a programmer/analyst, but switched his focus to computer networking and managed some of the largest data centers in Sonoma County.  Dennis holds certifications in Computer Forensics and is a certified Microsoft Professional.

Jay Mikel is helping ConnectionsIT expand its cable install and management services with his knowledge in this area.  Jay has spent the past several years serving as a traveling technician handling all types of facility cable projects for R&R Solutions to upgrade switching equipment and computer connectivity.  He has worked with McDonalds, Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Conoco-Philips to correct and solve IT network issues.  Jay also worked with F.E.M.A. as a tower monitor to regulate waste-disposal sites.

Kacey Moreland has worked with ConnectionsIT on the Muscogee Creek Nation Casinos in Okmulgee, and Eufaula, and on the Choctaw Nation Casinos in McAlister, Grant and Stringtown.  Kacey has installed a variety of IP and analog camera products and access control solutions.  He is certified to install Genetecs’ Omnicast and Synergis programs.

Daniel Parker works as a Field Technician for ConnectionsIT.  He has been working in the IT field for the past 9 years since finishing his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Florida International University in Dec. 2000.  He is presently studying to become Microsoft certified

Preston Rodan is trained in AutoCAD and in networks at Advanced Technologies Academy.  Before joining ConnectionsIT, he worked with Southwest Surveillance where he developed enterprise knowledge of Multicast and unicast routing and switching.  He also has skills with Digital Security Systems.  Preston has worked on Pelco Endura, Indigvision, Datacom, Genetec, and Synectics. He is currently working toward a degree in business and starting on his CCNA and MCSE certifications.

Chris DeFreitas is a Field Technician for Connections IT. Chris has a Comptia A+ certification and eight years of experience in the field.  His favorite areas include the Microsoft Server platform and Cisco network environment.  When his head is not buried in a computer, you’ll find it in a helmet while he’s touring on his motorcycle.

Rusty Rush has over 7 years of high voltage experience working for such companies as H&H Electric, Guidry Electric, Triplex Electric, and Kirk Electric in the commercial, industrial and residential fields.   Rusty offers experience in CCTV, fire alarm, access control, surveillance, network cabling, fiber optics and audio systems.  He holds an electrical degree and has worked on a number of casino installs with ConnectionsIT.

Vince Shevick has an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Computer Technology and 8+ years of experience in the IT field.  Vince has worked for Connections IT for the past five years preceded by three years as a hardware specialist for two major retailers. Vince is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and has certifications in Pelco and IQ camera troubleshooting.

Brent Swinth is an AUTO CAD Drafter. He has a degree in Liberal Studies from Chico State University and a Certificate from the Civil Engineering Tech program at Santa Rosa Junior College.  He has over three years experience as an Instructional Assistant at Santa Rosa Junior College for the Applied Technologies and Civil Engineering programs and still frequently volunteers in the classroom. Before joining ConnectionsIT, Brent was a civil engineering tech.
